This was a very excited goodbye to the rental house we lived in for 8 months.(October 2011-May2012) while we built our new home in Tremonton. The positives to this house was it was cheap to rent had a storage facility for Jim's tires and other equipment. The kids were still able to ride the same bus to school. We were in the other half of our old ward before the split. I would have to say it had more negatives than positives. I think I was in a coma the whole time we lived there. There was only one bathroom. Before we moved in we thought ahh it won't be that big of a deal. UM--- it is a big DEAL. I don't know why it is that as soon as someone got in the shower someone else needed to use the restroom and they would whine and cry that their stomach hurt and so on. Well this bathroom didn't even have a normal door it was an accordion closet door with a fish hook lock. The kids would bump the door and look through the cracks. The kids soon learned that if they took butter knife they could unlock the door. After a while we didn't even lock the door. We got use to someone showering, someone brushing their teeth, someone using the restroom, putting on makeup or whatever all at the same time. So much for privacy!! We had to buy a vacuum since we had central vac in our other house. I found one on KSL for $25.00. Not bad right. Ya well it sucked. The guy said it worked awesome. It did not work it wouldn't even suck up anything!! Then the dryer in the house wouldn't dry the clothes, the dishwasher stopped working. Lets just say I had a small melt down and started crying. (Jim had been burning the candle at both ends working day and night so I didn't want to bother him with all the crappy stuff at home) He happened to call in the middle of my cry fest. He was so nice and said he was sorry things were bad that when he got home he would check it all out. That he did. He started with the vacuum and discovered it was plugged from the hose clear to the bag with who knows what. Then the dryer. This is where I felt bad for him. The hose was plugged up with mud sticks and lots of dead gross birds. They had felt the warmth from outside and climb up in the hose and made I nice warm home. Until they were cooked to death. The dishwasher never worked so I got to do dishes by hand the whole time. We started to notice mold was growing in lots of different places. We never had anyone over even for kids birthdays. Instead of feeling sorry for ourselves we were grateful we had somewhere to live and that we were all healthy and that we were together and that it was only temporary. We have some fun memories here and the kids loved the giant tree house in the front yard.
The other thing that was fun for mostly Makoy was the cows. She loved them every time we would leave or come home she would greet the cows. One day we were eating spaghetti and meatballs. One of the kids said nummy meatballs and then they said nummy cows. Makoy then said it really funny. They became the NUMMY COWS.
This house taught us to be grateful for the nice and wonderful things we had and would soon have again. Plus it never hurts anyone to be humble right!!!

We're sure glad you're out of that house so you can be our neighbors!
