Brylee threw the ball 159 ft. We knew that her and Gabby had gone back an forth every year so we were anxious to see what Gabby had done. When we caught up with her she said she threw it 156 to 157 feet. Excited Bry really felt good about going out on top. UNTIL they read the winners 1st place so and so 2nd place so and so. 3rd place Gabby . I thought wait a minute something is wrong. Now I am not a mother who like confrontation but being married into a family that does. I felt something needed to be said. I walked up to the booth of people and their clip boards and said I think you have your numbers wrong. I said we are friends with Gabby and she told us how far she threw it and we knew that Brylee's was further. At first she was really friendly and looked up Brylee's score sure enough 159 ft.
Then she looked at Gabby's 157 ft. She said "OH" then she walked away from me and talked with the others. They all of the sudden weren't so friendly they wouldn't tell me the scores of the others. It got really weird so after standing there for awhile I realized they weren't going to tell me anything else. I walked off . They then announced that Brylee tied for 3rd place. "HUH" I would have really liked to have seen the other girls numbers. I was so sad for Brylee and how the whole thing turned out. She was bummed-- little did she know things were about to get worse!
She did really well in all of her heats.
Makoy was super excited to have her cousins there to hang out with. Easton and Libby loved the wagon as much as she did.
Courtlyne's face says it all. She is running the 400 meter. I used to run it and that last stretch is killer. She dominated and won first place. Way to go Court!!
Brylee won her semi finals ---but I can't remember where she placed in the finals.

This is where it got bad again they had 2 lanes of the kids mixed up. You can see Brylee is where and the heck is Kylie so she can pass her the baton.
They had them re-race immediately after and she had to race with the boys. I laughed that she was kicking all the boys butts.
Grace Ethington was running one of her races and some kids ran out on the track in front of them. They made them race again immediately after and she didn't do as well. Her mother was UPSET she talked with the head of the track meet, And he said it is just a 6th grade track meet. She said yes but it is my daughters only 6th grade track meet. It was true it was our kids only 6TH GRADE TRACK MEET and how sad it all turned out to be. :(
