Puppies

I will never let our dog have puppies in the winter months again.
Our new dog Molly had 14 puppies on her first litter. She was not a very good first time mom. She laid on some and they died. We brought them in the house (because it was so snowy and cold outside) and bottle fed them goats milk every hour and a half. After a few nights of that we decided to move her in the bathroom off the garage. Then I couldn't take the smell---so Jim put them in the enclosed horse trailer with a heat lamp. Seven survived after it all.
The kids were so good to help feed before school and after.

It made me panic a little thinking I would be up feeding a baby all through the night. Then I remembered that I was not Octo mom and it would be WAY easier to feed one little mouth.

Those puppies are so cute! They almost make me want one...almost :). How fun for the kids to feed them.
