City softball State playoffs was a lot of fun and a light at the end of the tunnel for us. We now lived in Tremonton but we were still driving back and forth for city softball in Spanish Fork. With accelerated going on and the move it was crazy hard. We were grateful for Jim's parents for letting us crash at their place whenever we needed to.
Reagan's team ended up with 3rd place and won the bronze medals. The last game was a lot of pressure on Reagan, Their team started to hit the ball and the bases were loaded we were up by 1 with 2 outs and full count it was down to 1 pitch and it was all on Reagan. My heart ached for her. Well she pitched a ball and walked the tying run in and then the next batter got up and hit the ball and it was all over. She came off the field with tears in her eyes. I gave her a big hug and told her how proud I was of her 3rd place at State is Awesome. Lessons like these are hard but are part of life we don't always get the outcome we want and so we chalked it up to lessons learned.
2 cute Marziale's
Her coach was so cute. He got choked up as he gave his speech and especially as he congratulated Reagan on how great she did.
Brylee had been picked up by Hot Shotz to play in SLC and some how needed to play in her city ball state playoffs in S.F. We knew if she couldn't make it back in time her team had never lost and so they would have had to beat them twice. Luckily her Hot Shotz team won the their game with the 15 run rule and her game got over quickly. Then with some of Jim's illegal driving moves (driving up the side of the on ramp and cutting in in front of everyone and the grounds crew at Spanish dragging their feet to prep the field. She made it in time they dominated and took first at State. A few people tried to protest that because she was wearing black pants she couldn't legally play. There was not a rule or anything and then if they really looked there were lots of kids wearing gray and not white--- people are funny.
It is crazy to think that Courtlyne and Brylee are the same age.I love that Bry is doing her hair while they wait for their medals.
Grandpa and Grandma Marziale were always there to watch. They were so cute and always sat out under the trees at the back of the field in the shade and probably so Big Jimmy could freely cuss all the kids that made errors. :)
Grandma Hone also came and hauled her wagon of supplies to share with us. Which we are so thankful for!!
They got to ride in the 24th of July parade. Jim drove his diesel. This was after the parade getting ready to hit the carnival. It was official we were all done with city softball in Spanish Fork.
