Easter Softball

We are pretty much getting used to having a tournament on Easter Saturday.  We hosted this tournament for a fund raiser and had a great success we had 10 teams sign up for it. So as it snowed on Friday Jim began to really hate his relationship with mother nature. The Salem ball fields were a mess and had an inch of water.  Luckily Payson's fields looked good and they let us use them. We some how had to cram in all of Friday's games onto Saturday.
Reagan started this year out playing with the revolution.  We felt they had too many girls on their roster and Reagan being one of the youngest didn't play as much. As parents is was in her best interest to get her on a team from Tremonton to help her get to know some girls from up there. We took her up to try out for Sandie Trapp's team the  Sliders. She made it and got to play with them in our tournament.
It was exciting to be able to watch both of them.  Reagan's team is a 10U team and they opted to play up in this 12 U tournament. They ended up beating the Toxic in the lower bracket for 1st place. Reagan made some awesome plays. I can't wait to see how she grows and how great she becomes.

We hosted a huge egg hunt for all the teams. Our girls are waiting for the action to happen here.

Here are 9 of the 10 teams it was fun to see them all together
It was a whole lot of girls luckily we had a whole lot of eggs and treats!
Fast and Furious decided to do it the hard way and lose, so we had to play the Road Runners (who magically had 2 14yr old girls on their team)  twice in the championship to win. It was FREEZING there was a cold breeze and we played til midnight. Keep in mind that they had already been playing since 6:30 that morning. It was such a long day for them they were exhausted but did it. They won it all.

This is the first time I have seen the girls all sit down or lay on each other to get their T-shirts.
Way to play hard on not give up!
