Brylee's City Softball

We were excited for city softball this year we knew Brylee would be legit. But didn't expect to do very well because it was her first year in this next level. We ended up playing for the championship against a very seasoned team who had 5 accelerated girls on their team.

Brylee hates these pictures . I have tried to get an awesome picture of her pitching. Apparently this is her thing. I think it is great she uses all she has got, even her breath to pitch it as hard as she does.

Brylee hit numerous home runs in city ball. Gabby's grandpa told them whoever hits a home run he would give $5.00. I think brylee broke his bank.

This picture breaks my heart. Brylee takes softball very seriously. We ended up in a tie and had to do the international tie breaker. The other team scored 1. Then it was our turn we got our runner to 3rd base and yeah Brylee was up. Their coach called a time out and apparently told their pitcher to start out intentionally walking her. All of our fans went ape wild yelling they are 11 yr old girls let her hit. Jim told her to swing at then next one no matter what. There was so much chaos . She swung again trying to to hit the crappy pitches and then they threw a perfect strike and she wasn't ready because she was expecting a crappy pitch. We lost by one point. As I watched my little girl feel all the weight of the world on her little shoulders it broke my heart. She had so many fans even from the other team come over to her and tell her that she shouldn't feel bad that she should take it as a compliment not many people are intentionally walked unless they are dang good.

So we accepted our 2nd place t-shirts and chalked it up to a lesson learned. The other Coach told Jim that he should be very proud of Brylee and that all of his team was afraid of Brylee Marziale's pitching and hitting.
