CAMPING!

We finally went camping-- over the Labor Day weekend.
We decided to go to Scofield. The last time we had been there
was over 8 years ago. The kids had a great time. We had to
laugh they all wanted to take turns hammering the tent peg
into the ground and then try to kick it out. It kept them busy
for a while.

Grandma brought them some candy necklaces hence the
white beard Anthony is sporting!

Dad trying to get Anthony to pose for a
picture.

Jim looking for wildlife on the mountains.

Yeah-- and the best part being able to pee anywhere freely.
(I hope this picture is ok to post --no privates are showing)

We then enjoyed a good hike. While Jim ran into town to
get a fishing license that we never ended up using.

My Mom kept stopping to look around at natures beauty
and Reagan said : "Grandma's not into this hike" ( she
thought you just needed to keep on hiking and not stop).

Brylee found her a walking stick.

We then searched the swampy areas to see if we could find
any toads but no luck.

This picture would have been great but Reagan had been
crying becuase she was afraid of the hornets. She came upon
on our hike down.(She never got stung so who knows what
the fuss was all about) She was definately not in any mood
for a happy picture.

They were so excited to go crawdad fishing on the docks.

The girls were great they got up enough courage to pick
them up.

This was a dead one-- thats the only reason he dared hold it!

We used to catch them with a chicken leg when we were kids.
A freind of Jim's told him if you put a couple of twizzlers in
a nylon and a rock that they can't let go because they get
stuck in the nylon. Not the case they still let go. So plan on
bringing a net.

After they had caught all their hearts desired we dumped
the bucket over on the dock and watched them scramble
back into the water. We then came back later caught more
and did a little wave running. We decided to let them keep 3
of them to bring home and put in the watering trough.
Nobody was up to eating them on this trip.

Dad tried to get Anthony to hold one that was alive but he
wouldn't.

I have been waiting and waiting for a picture like this of him.
You see in my laundry room I have 2 frames with really
messy pictures of my girls then I have 1 frame empty hanging
there waiting for one of this litlle goober. He was never
dirty enough until now!

Some more hannering of the tent peg. Heck if Santa only
knew that the simplest of things were fun and entertaining.

Especially for everyone!

Reagn kept going into the tent and cleaning her feet with
the wet wipes and then was so proud of her self when she
invented this. I told her the best thing would to put on socks
and tennis shoes. Ofcourse she has a mind of her own.

At dinner time they spotted some deer up on the mountain.
It was a fun little camping trip hopefully the kids will always
remember it. Here is looking forward to the next camping trip
right Dad??

There were too many females on this trip. I feel bad for Jim. He definitely needed some more masculine support! Sorry I couldn't be there and I'm sorry your allergies went crazy. My nose has been itchin quite a bit lately to.
Nice pics, Anthony's eyes are extremely blue in one of those pictures.

What? You have to go camping to pee anywhere you want? When did that memo come out? I think we majorly missed that one our senior year and the year after...We totally broke that rule...do barricades count? Good to know for the future.
