Summer Vacation 2011

Nothing like starting your vacation right off the bat with a nap.
Everyone was excited to leave on our vacation and then the night before Anthony woke up and was puking all night. We decided to wait and see how he was in the morning. By late that afternoon he seemed fine ----that is until we got in the car. He kept saying his tummy hurt I came prepared with a bowl. Thank goodness he never did puke.
The girls were so happy to be on the road. The first night we stayed in Brigham City and ate at the Maddox. We then stopped in Lava Hot springs and decided it was a little too busy for our liking so we drove on to. Granite Hot springs in Wyoming. We had to off road for 20 miles or so to get up to these. They were beautiful. There were people from other countries speaking funny languages it was fun to see my kids stare.
The water was nice and warm. The dressing room was an open room so it was a little awkward getting dressed. We were so cold when we got out you almost didn't care. However the thought crossed my mind a young college kid up here in the mountains running this place all by his self might get pretty lonesome. Hopefully there is not a peeper cam. j/k.

If you look closely you can see a deer behind Jim and Makoy.
There was a cool waterfall we tried to get closer to. There was a dirt road we followed when all of the sudden we heard this loud sound like air was coming out of our tire. I jumped out and told Jim our tire looks fine. We then found out it was one of our air bags that helps your car ride smooth when you go over bumps. We limped it back down the mountain and laughed the whole way. It was the BUMPIEST ride ever.
We then made it to Jackson Hole.
Our kids first time seeing the antler arches.

We walked around town and did some shopping.
The kids loved all the animals in all the different shops.
Makoy kept pulling all the stuffed animal out.
Too bad these were super expensive. Don't you think you would be the cool kid sporting one of these next winter.
We found some prizes for the kids. Which made them happy. They were shooting these back and forth in the car and they were sticking to all the windows. They had a blast.
Then we headed off to the alpine slides.
We were kind of naughty Anthony wasn't technically old enough to ride by his self. We knew he could so we let him when we got to the top.
He loved-- loved it! He wanted to go again and again.

We then came upon this cute little maze.
I wasn't too excited about this. Jim had voted that I go with the kids while he hung out with the baby..
It actually turned out to be super fun.
We had to hit certain points of the maze and punch our pass and if we got through it at a certain time we would win a prize.

We missed out on the prize by 30 seconds :(
On our way to Yellowstone we saw some buffalo. We have those in our back yard so not to cool to the kids.
The scenery was amazing. Jim nor my kids have ever been here. The ride was awful keep in mind we were driving without one of our airbags. At first it was funny but it soon became very ANNOYING.

We stopped and had lunch at Old Faithful.
I feel bad I cannot for the life of me remember the name of this place.

Sisterly love.
Koy loved running up the ramps.
and riding on her daddy's shoulders.

Loved this shot of all my kids.

We can chalk this one of our list that we have done. Everyone was pooped and slept most of the way home.
