Halloween 2009

I am so glad to be finally posting this. Halloween was a lot of fun this year. I liked it being on a Saturday. Friday night we carved our pumpkins. It is getting a lot easier to do this now that my girls are carving their own.

Then when we were finally done, we were all carrying them out to the porch and poor little Reagan dropped hers and it crashed into lots of pieces. She was so sad and started to cry. Luckily Aunt Kacy had a small pumpkin in her car that a friendhadgiven her. We all chipped in and quickly helped Reagan with a new one.
I was very impressed with Brylee she did really well this year.

Saturday we tried to start early with visiting all the grand parents.
Brylee kickin it Rasta style!
Reagan knew she wanted to be an Egyptian lady long before October. She had talked to Grandma Hone all by herself about what she thought she wanted to do. With the my amazing mother's help, she sewed and designed this costume. Reagan was the hit everywhere we went.
My little mummy was so cute. After I got him all dressed I was so excited and I quickly ran him into the bathroom to have a look in the mirror. His face was very unsure that it was even him he was looking at in the mirror and then he said " Mom I don't know if I can do this." His mind was quickly changed with all the treats he received.
The best part is this costume cost $4.00
This would be Kacy and her horns.
It is so fun to watch the kids count their candy, categorize , and trade each other for the things they want or don't.
We had a surprise visitor come to our door so we were a little late for the trunk or treat. My kids didn't even notice or complain that they had gotten less candy this year.

Little brother always gets that bad end of the deal--good thing he doesn't even realize all the unfair trading his sisters talked him into.
