3rd Grade Track and Field

We were so excited to go to Brylee's track meet she kept coming home telling us she was fast and kept beating all the boys in her class. But in our minds we were thinking oh sure sweet heart and not knowing what to expect. These are some of her good friends from school.


Her first event was the softball throw.

She threw it pretty good but as we looked down the line of over 200 girls waiting for their turn to throw it we weren't very hopeful. And then when she was out on the track waiting for the baton in her relay race they announced the girls softball throw results are in first place : Brylee Marziale she started jumping up and down with the biggest smile on her face. We were so proud of her. ( She then went on to Region and took 2nd place way to go Bry!)

and of course these two had a ball playing all day together.

Brylee competed in the 100 meter dash

She had great form until she got to the finish line. She wasn't sure how to run into the tape.

But hey look at that 1st place in her heat. We cracked up at her putting her hands down.

We had no idea she was as fast as she was she also got to compete in the 100 meter relay.

Our relay team kicked some major 3rd grader butt! They got to compete at Region as well.

(I wasn't sure how they did there they were racing against some 11-12 yr olds and it looked like they lost but it may have been just the time they were after??)

This was the cutest thing I have ever seen. At the end they have what is called the lollipop race for all the preschoolers. Anthony did pretty good until the end he started to slow down he told me it was because of his shoes. (He had gotten some new ones but had gotten them muddy and had to wear his old ones which the Velcro was coming undone. ) He said my new shoes make me run faster and that is why he lost.

Then forgetting about it all as soon as he got his sucker. In all we were so proud of Brylee she did awesome!
