Lake Shore Days

Lake Shore Days is a fun time - alot of work but good
memories for the kids. The Primary is incharge of the
Parade. This parade is different though there aren't any
horses or motorized vehicles our Jr primary does the
floats where our Sr. Primary pulls or pushes the floats.
The theme was History of Lake Shore. I had a hard time
with this theme so the only thing I could remember was that
my Mom told us when she was young she would go cat fishing
there. Plus when Jim was a youngin he was in the newspaper
for catching a huge catfish at Lincoln Beach.

This is Reagan and her friend Allie. My Mom helped me
with the float this year since I was incharge of all the other
details for the parade she made the cute Lincoln Beach sign
and the adorable catfish. Thanks MOM!

Here is our other side Anthony and Cole. Anthony loved
fishing, he sat out on the float many days in the gargae
just a fishing away.

Here is Brylee she was one of our pullers. She commented
many times how hot she was dressed like a pioneer.
Waaa!

After the parade the Bishop hands all the kids
that were in the parade a .50 Cent piece & then
they get to go over to the carnival (put on by
the Young Womens thanks Tiff) and play some
games. Anthony loved that he got to hold the ticket.

Of course he loved the cow train. I think Brylee did
too.

Reagan was our free spirit she had her
face painted, had played all the games and
was ready for more. So after snow cones and
plenty of junk we headed to Olive Garden for
lunch then a nice long nap at home.

Look at all that work you did! I bet it was fun but it's not easy to do floats and things for primary...Are you still the president? Busy summer!
